Our Humble Abode
While John, Jeremiah and Jenna went for a walk to the river and playground, Jackson and I hung out at the camper and I took a few pics. We love our little camper!
We purchased the little 97' Coleman Redwood second-hand, even though it had only been used a couple times. It was basically brand new. And our family has had such fun camping all over in it. Of course, before we bought it we had been camping in tents for more than 10 years, until the twins came along. Camping with kids is much nicer in a camper, because there is an indoor area with a table safe from bugs, rain, heat and cold. We have a kitchen and a potty, and John and I don't have to sleep on the ground with our 40+ year old bodies! hehehe
I grew up camping with my parents and have some great memories, so it was only natural to encourage John to start camping with me when we married, even though his family had never camped. Our first camping experience together was sleeping in his truck and on the Manzano Mountain's State park campground's picnic table. I'll never forget how bright the stars were that night! After that weekend he was hooked and couldn't wait to purchase camping equipment!
Now we take our kidlets camping and hope they also love nature and being outdoors as much as we have...and do.
