We got our first snow on the top of Sandia on October 10th. It's been very cold, down in the 40's at night. The mountains had been covered with clouds and I noticed a Lenticular Cloud above the Sandias in the early morning. It was quite beautiful and alerted me that we probably had snow up there!
While at Explora, we could also see the snow covered Sangre De Cristo mountains above Santa Fe. I love this time of year: warm, breezy days and cool crisp nights. Not yet winter, but just a hint. And not to mention all the hot air balloons flying in the sky each morning. It just makes my soul soar!
