Here's Jackson & Jeremiah with their buddies Zach, 8 & Eli,9, who happen to be adopted from Liberia, Africa, and who are actually not 'birth' brothers, but sure act like it. I think they are true soul brothers. They are both very unique and so much fun to be around. Jackson and Jeremiah just love hanging out with them. They live in Corrales, less than 10 mins from our house in Rio Rancho, too.
I was finally able to see the new baby hippo! It was just so gosh darn cute and chubby!
Jenna, usually afraid of climbing to high places, especially public play spaces, like McDonalds, was fearless in this play structure. She traversed the entire gym. Much later, she was coming down the slide and at the bottom got hurt when another kids slid down to soon and barreled over her, which caused her finger to get jammed, and the skin to be torn. She was really hurting and the only thing that made it better was our friend Monica's candy pumpkins! Not even Mama's hugs made her feel better, but that candy made her smile! hehe
A photo taken on the rope bridge in the chimpanzee enclosure.
A very friendly white neck banded Raven called us over to chat with him. And he was so magnetic! As we spoke to him, he tried to sound out the words we were saying and a few times, he was so close!
He also enjoyed nibbling at the strap on Jenna's stroller. But Jackson discovered that the Raven has a strong beak! Thankfully, he didn't get hurt, just surprised!
Here are our friends Karen, Monica and Laura being silly and acting like "Serious Mamas".
My camera's batteries were almost dead, but I managed to catch this cute pic of some of the kids together outside the zoo at the end of the day. We've really got some terrific kids in our Homeschool Co-op group!
