Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!

We were given a snowy Christmas, a snowy New Years, and now we have a snowy Valentine's Day! What odd weather we've been having! I love snow, especially if I don't have to go out into it. Here are some pictures taken this morning........

This is what we woke up to, looking out our living room window to the backyard.

Our Yucca tree, in the front yard, blanketed with snow.
Our daily bird visitors get impatient, if we don't have their feeder filled first thing in the morning. This Junco was quite vocal about getting us outside to feed him.Our happy birds in a seed-induced feeding-frenzy.
Under our covered patio, it usually stays dry, but the snow was blowing sideways last night. Birds and cottontail rabbits sometimes take refuge on our covered front porch and under the shrubs. Here's a few footprints of some dancing birds on our front porch.

Funny how, when we received the sleds for Jackson & Jeremiah's birthday last week, we said we'd probably have to pack them away until next winter, or else drive up to Santa Fe, for some snow play...............less than a week later, the sleds are sliding in snow.....in our front yard no less!
Jax and Jem on their way up the street to the mesa hills to ride their snow boards...Cowabunga, Snow Dudes!! They had a blast zooming down the big hill at the end of our street.
Hot cocoa, with a generous supply of marshmallows, is a must after playing outside in the snow.
One of our friendly neighbors brought over a Valentine's Day basket. She's always doing such nice things for our family. I love the message on the pillow. We'll (literally) take it to heart.
