Letterboxing~Tucson: Coronado National Forest

After we left Agua Caliente Park, we drove a bit southeast from there to the Coronado National Forest's Agua Caliente Hill Trail.

One word: WOW!

I cannot describe realistically and authentically what it was like to be surrounded by hundreds of "The Great Green Sentinels of The Desert". There are just no sufficient words. I felt like I felt at Disney World years ago: My heart so full of joyous, thrilling happiness that I thought it would burst.

We hiked almost to the top of the 'Hill", a very rugged strenuous hike, and we kept referring to our compass bearings, but alas, we just could not find the letterbox. There was something about a small saddle, but the only saddle we spied was at the very top of the 'hill' (which was a very steep and arduous hike away), so that is probably why we couldn't figure it out.

But no matter. The breathtaking hike among those impressive green giants was more than worth it.

Jax took these pics of me. Notice my euphoric smile!

The city of Tucson lies to the SW, behind me and my tall green friend.
