Bats, Isotopes, Pheasants and Vikings!

What an interesting and wonderful day we had today.

First we had an appt. involving our legal cases, in downtown ABQ on Marquette. Jackson, Jeremiah, Jenna and I sat in front of a video camera and large screen TV, so we could participate in a Video Conference Court Proceeding in Spartanburg, SC. Our attorney, the Plaintiff's attorney and the Judge were all there, and even a very silly Security Guard that made us all laugh with his funny camera antics, when the rest of the court wasn't watching. hehe

Then,in the parking garage, we discovered that we had parked in a space in front a little Silver Haired Bat's napping nook. We didn't want to startle him, so we didn't take any photos, but we did stand there for quite a while just observing him. The bat was right at my kids' eye levels and sleeping quite soundly. The little bat was really cute and fascinating to watch.(Here's a borrowed pic from the web, so you can see what a silver haired bat looks like)
After that was finished, we headed over to Tucanos, Brazilian Restaurant to redeem some gift certificates given to us by some friends. We felt like Kings and Queens as the servers brought over 17 different types of grilled meat, tasty veggies and delicious grilled pineapple on skewers for us to try. One nice tip for parents to know is that kids under 7 eat FREE! And this place is FUN! It really was a wonderful experience!
Afterwards, we drove over to search for a letterbox, hidden by our friends 6Jumping Beans. It was an easy 'drive-by' across the street from the Isotopes Baseball Park. Handsome and impressive baseball stadium!

Finally, we drove to a mystery spot in Albuquerque to place our newest Letterbox "Vikings in New Mexico". This was a challenge for us, but also lots of fun.
After leaving the Vikings Letterbox location, we spotted a gorgeous ring-necked pheasant standing in a field off of Rio Grande Blvd. My heart leapt at the sight of such a handsome bird.
