Carissa supplied everyone with copies of the fact/coloring/map sheets from her Bodyology book, as well as copies of the music score CD from the show. Cool stuff!
We all had a terrific time at her house learning about the brain and also socializing together. Carissa's home has such a warm, cozy feeling surrounding it and the kids and adults felt so welcome and we all felt so close-knit in our environment. We are looking forward to these future events.
The kids worked cooperatively in their grovery store set-up while we adults shopped. The kids even offered us 'extended credit' for our purchases! (Ack!)

After we left Carissa's we drove up a little bit to the fascinating Tinkertown Museum, on the way to the Sandia Crest. Click here for more info.IN front of Tinkertown, which still happens to be a residence and was not originally created as a museum. The walls are built with glass bottles imbedded. There was so much to see inside that I kept forgetting to pull out my camera, so I only have two pics to post here.
Jax and Jem had their fortunes told by this unique gypsy kiosk. We all got a kick out of this and the fortune cards were actually pretty right on, too! (Not sure why Jackson looks like zombie boy here, but it kind of adds to the creepy 'oooeee, ooooeee' kind of effect. hehehe)
