Snowy Saturday

Waking up to such a bright, sparkling morning in our cozy home full of windows with views every which way, made me feel as if I was in staying in a vacation cabin in the woods!
Absolutely stunning views in every direction. We couldn't wait to get outside and play and explore in the snowy wonderland. (You can click on any of the photos to get a larger, clearer view)

I took this picture last night showing 3 1/2" of snow accumulation. We had a few more flurries through the night, though, and ended up with another 3/4" of snow by morning.Looking out our master bathroom window northwards to the snow-covered South Mountain.I just had to take a picture of the beautiful twisty shape of this juniper and the contrast between it's green needles and grey branches against the white snow and brilliant blue sky.A spiky group of frosted Yuccas gathered together in our pasture. The beautiful view I see from my desk in the loft. Jenna uses the glass doors aa a play scene for her colorform-type animals.Well, I can't see the Sandia Mountains from this house, but snow-covered South Mountain is an enjoyable sight, too. (as seen from our pasture fence)Jenna had a super time playing in the snow this morning.Jenna and I hiked around our 3 acres making snowballs, eating snow, building little snow critters, laughing at the snow-silly llamas galloping around, and petting the horses next door.
Jenna visiting with our neighbor's friendly horses, Nadia, Annie and Scout. Now how often do you come upon llama footprints in the snow?? For more photos of our llamas cavorting in the snow, check out our Laughing Orca Ranch Blog HERE
