Homeschool Band Photos

Last week, Jackson's Homeschool Band held Photo Day along with regular practice, too.
All of the band groups: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced were all so handsome and beautiful dressed up in either white polos, white dress shirts, or tuxedos, along with black pants or skirts. There was such excitement in the air, as well.

Jackson is thoroughly enjoying being a band member and playing his trombone. All of the kids are his age or older, which has been a great way to make new friends. And Jackson, and especially our family, has been quite impressed, proud and amazed at the progress and skills he has mastered.

A trombone doesn't usually sound great on it's own, but in a band setting, a trombone really pops and helps make a song blend well. And in a group band with a string of trombones, the on tempo sound is impressive.

Jackson posed for pictures with his fellow Beginner Bandmates and then afterwards I took a few of my own pics, too.

Is that my handsome son?!! He looks so grown-up!Happy trombone player!

And a silly photo of my Jenna girl!
Jeremiah finally has his very own guitar, something he has wanted for a long time. He is beside himself with happiness and has started guitar lessons. He can't wait to perform for friends and family, and looks forward to doing some guitar jam sessions with his Papaw.
Happy, sweet boy.
I also took a couple photos of the beginner band in practice mode. Jackson is in the center of the photo wearing a blue shirt.(Click photos for a larger view)The Homeschool Band Instructor is absolutely amazing. He is full of patience and knowledge and all of the kids find him funny and endearing....as do all the parents, too!
