The other night we were invited to a dinner party with some near and dear old friends.
We've known Linda Sue and George for more than 13 years and our paths have moved in different directions throughout the years, but have always crossed again and again.
We met while working for Mesa Airlines. We loaded planes and passengers and even fueled airplanes together. But then I got pregnant with my twins and we kind of lost track for a few years. Until one day she showed up pregnant with her own twins at a Mothers of Twins Club meeting.
We stayed close for a number of years after that until my family moved to South Carolina for a job transfer.
I came back to visit her during a National Mother's of Twins Club Convention held in New Mexico, and I brought my daughter who was only several months old.
I stayed with Linda Sue and George in their peaceful mountain home for the weekend and at the time remember thinking that they lived out in the boonies.
Several years later, and my family moved back to New Mexico. And we hooked up again with our wonderful friends, Linda Sue and George.
I find it so ironic and funny that we now live only 10 minutes away from our friends...in the mountains! I guess that means we live in the boonies, now, too! haha
George and Linda Sue. They are alot of fun, and Linda is a fantastic cook!
John was very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed himself. It's rare that he is comfortable enough to let his guard down and smile around other people. I love that gorgeous smile. He has the kindest eyes when he smiles like that.
Another couple were at the dinner party, too. They were also loads of fun and there was much laughter late into the night.
