Letterboxing~DWI Memorial and Tijeras

In honor of Memorial Day as well as National Letterboxing Day we decided to honor those who have lost their lives due to drunk drivers and to leave a special letterbox to make others aware of this thought-provoking place. And to remind everyone not to drink and drive.

A field of headstones beside I-40 in Moriarty, NM.
The meaningful headstone.
The sign as you enter the Memorial Park.
Click photo for a larger view and to learn more about this memorial.
They've made room for more headstones.......alot of room. How sad is that?
My kids can be a little weird. They wanted to get a feel of what it would be like dead. They didn't like it very much.
An interesting piece of art sculpture.
They are filled with thousands of tiny pieces of broken auto glass.
A beautiful statue and my kids.

We also placed another box in the village of Tijeras. You can read the clues on Letterboxing.org or Atlas Quest.
