Sharks, Turtles, Fish and Ice

After Jeremiah's occupational therapy, we stopped off at McDonald's near Old Town and ran into one of Jackson & Jeremiah's buddies, Andy. So, we ate and played for a little while and then drove over to the Aquarium to visit the undersea creatures.

We really like the eel tunnel filled with creepy, but fascinating greenish hued eels peeking out of holes in the rock cave. Here's Jax hanging out with an eel.
Jackson was into taking some photos today, so he had free reign of my camera. This son of mine loves photography. One day I hope to give him a nice professional camera that he can expermiment and work with. Here's me with some eels. Jackson is learning about the wonders and frustrations of flash photography.
Jeremiah took this chilling photo. Notice that this shark is losing a tooth!
Jax thought the body and clean lines of the shark were awesome and wanted to spotlight this in a photo.
A fast moving shark. Taken from below.
One of the sea turtles in the deep ocean tank.
Two of my favorite fish in the Aquarium are the Parrot Fish and the Jawfish. I love the tropical sherbert coloring of the Parrotfish and it's curious looking beak.
The pale yellow Jawfish is full of character and personality, peeking out of it's burrows, always so protective and territorial. I always loook for my favorite fish when we visit.
There is a small pond with fountains and sprays outside of the aquarium. Jax and Jem were impressed that the pond was so frozen that they could walk across it. The sprays also made a bubbly frozen appearance at the edges. (Thank goodness, the ice was frozen solid! I didn't have any other clothes for in case they fell in...and the water and day was freezing cold! Brrr!)
