A Westside Letterbox excursion

We needed to return some library books the other day so we planned our trip around finding another letterbox that was located on the westside. So, we returned our books to Taylor Ranch library and went hunting for "Rosche's Little Affair".

Along the way, we explored the Petroglyph parkway which has some unique and creatively colored glass, in the median, that resembles lava, which is coming from the direction of Albuquerque's extinct, landmark volcanoes.

But I'm still sad to see the volcanic rock, that hundreds of petroglyphs used to cover, destroyed just to build a road up to the mesa so more houses could be built up there. I think that the Albuquerque area Urban Sprawl has gotten out of hand.

The park where the letterbox, "Rosche's Little Affair" was hidden had some terrific views of the city and mountains, but the kids thought the trees and boulders were the best for climbing!
