While at Target the other day, each one of my 3 kids were offered the opportunity to pick out one special item, on me.
Jeremiah immediately chose one of the German-made Knights set, the Prince, which he was very excited about, since it is a rare piece and he enjoys collecting hard-to-find pieces for his Knight Set.
Jenna chose a collectible rubber shark. She really loves sea creatures, especially sharks, rays, Orcas and Dolphins.
Jackson came back with one our favorite brand of Science Kits, Smart Lab. We have several of the kits already and my kids always have a blast discovering new things about Science as they manipulate and experiment with these kits.
Jackson chose the Build Your Own Remote Control kit, which is right up his alley, since he is fascinated with all things electronic and electrical, and his engineering-moded brain just can't get enough of this sort of thing.
Within a couple hours of reading and building, Jackson had the remote control assembled, then researched the TV brands and codes, and had programmed his remote control to control our own TV. And it works great!
Jackson never fails to amaze and impress me with his talents, inginuity, and abilities. He truly is the Jacksonator!!
Look Mom! It works!! And I did it all by myself!
Completed Remote Control in Jax's hands.
The awesome Smart Lab book and the insides of the Remote Control.
We love Smart Lab!
Keypads, Diodes, and Circuitry....Oh My!
Learning about Resistors and Electrons.
Transistors and Capacitors. Jackson can't get enough of this cool stuff!
Searching for the correct model and make of TV to find the codes to program the remote control.
Time for some Smart Lab experiments, too!
