'FuFu" and Jenna

This is FuFu, or rather Phyllis, which of course, she does not go by the name of. Early on when her first grandchildren were born, she didn't like the term Granny and noone could pronounce Phyllis properly, so it became "FuFu". So, that is what everyone calls her now. She is my Mother's sister, and because my Mother died when I was young, FuFu is more like Mother to me. Very special. I decided to give my daughter the name Phyllis as her middle name. When I looked up the name Jenna, it means "Little Bird", and the name Phyllis, means "Green Leaf"........So, my daughter is a "Little Bird on a Green Leaf", which has a beautiful, nature-filled sounds to it. Seems only appropriate with Jenna's love of nature, too.

Sleeping Beauty

Covina, CA March 2004~Jenna passed out on Fufu's bed during her birthday party. With over 45 friends and family members there to meet her and help her celebrate her 1st birthday, it was very tiring for my sweet little princess. Happy Birthday, Jenna!

The Biker and The Baby

Here is dear Roger cradling my sweet daughter, Jenna. She was all tired out from her birthday party. She only wanted Roger to hold her, though. And he was quite honored to oblige. This photo is very special to me. Roger will be greatly missed........

Jenna's First Birthday

March 2004, Covina, California. Our entire California family and friends came to celebrate with us. This photo included Roger, my cousin's partner, whom Jenna became quite fond of during our visit. Roger came across as 'tough guy' on his motorcycle wearing a doo-rag and all the biker accessories. But he was just a huge softie with a heart of gold.
Sadly, though he passed away from a brain tumor less than a year later from when this picture was taken.

Hot Tubbin'

Chino Hills, CA Spring 2004 at Uncle Ron & Aunt Lori's house. Jackson & Jeremiah had a blast in the hot tub! Jenna and I did, too, but we went in the hot tub in the evening when it was quieter! hee hee
