I created this Folk Art Pony in the Art Center at Explora Science Museum a couple months ago.
I didn't set out to make this horse, but instead the art created itself, using my hands to lay down the fabric where it needed to be. Sometimes art is like that. And the best thing to do is go with the flow and not stand in the way of that magical creative process.
Here corduroy, felt, plain and printed cotton were used, along with hand-peeled fabric threads for the mane and tail.
