While my brother was visiting, we did a tour of the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Museum with our Cottonwood Homeschooler group. That's my brother in the back and the boys' friend, Sorscha on the 'radio'.http://www.cabq.gov/balloon/
The museum had some very interesting displays and information on ballooning over the years. Albuquerque is the capital of hot air ballooning
and every year for 2 weeks hosts The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta with 700+ hot air balloons rising into the sky ech morning or glowing in the night during the Balloon Glows. And the special shaped hot air balloons are tuly amazing! You haven't lived unless you've seen a polar bear, the Energizer Bunny, a sneaker, or a pig fly....and there are many many more!
And each day there are contests like Key Grabs and Bean Bag tosses to watch. For more info, click here:
