Nutcracker Ballet
Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, SC offered a performance of the Nutcracker Ballet for all area homeschoolers. It was held at night, right before Christmas, and felt quite grand and exciting. Some homeschoolers dressed up, especially the girlies, but my boys (and me) like to be casual. Best of all, though, the show was amazing! Jackson & Jeremiah were mezmerized, as was I. The dancing, costumes and music were superb. What was impressive to me about my sons, was that Jeremiah was not feeling well before the show, and on the way inside, had thrown up. But he insisted on attending and somehow didn't get sick again, and truly enjoyed himself. Both boys asked if they could attend more theatre, ballet, and musicals in the future. Yay!
