Of Rats....and Kids
We once ended up with 2 rats that noone wanted. One we named Sugar, the Mother, and the other, th daughter, was named, Sundae. Sugar as sweet and friendly and never bit anyone. Sundae was not nice, and not sweet, and bit...hard! One day Sugar died, probably from old age, but I suspected Sundae had something to do with it......
We buried Sugar in the backyard under a yellow climbing rose and we all had a special ceremony where we each said a Eulogy for Sugar. It was quite touching and somber. Even John and I were sad.
A month later, Sundae died. No ceremony, no sentmental euology. In fact I think Sundae's deceased body ended up in the garbage bin.....
Noone missed her.
Moral: Be nice and kind to others, while you are alive. You don't get a second chance.
