Sandia Mountain

I never tire of gazing at my favorite mountains. They are never the same throughout the day. They change colors, texture, weather, cloud cover, brightness and darkness. Sandia, to me, has always been an energy source, a place of solace and peace. A place where I feel close to God. Even when I was away from New Mexico for those long 7 years in SC, I felt myself being called back to these mountains, to my home.
The top photo is how a sunset colors Sandia (which means Watermelon, in Spanish), the middle is a rain storm on Sandia, and the final photo is the moon rising over the Sandia Mountains.

All these photos were taken from my living room window and back yard.
