What could be better than swimming and relaxing in and beside the river on a hot summer day? Nothing! heheJenna and I waded in a few times, but the river was flowing a bit too strong for her to actually swim, but we enjoyed being refreshed by the river's coolness, which felt like a massage on my tired legs.
Jackson and Jeremiah spent most of the day in the river, wading in the shallow parts and swimming in the deeper ones, or swinging off of the low hanging branches of the trees. They made a few friends while swimming, too. Jackson, Jeremiah and 3 other boys worked together stacking rocks to build river castles and 'beaver dams'. The other boys also brought their German Shepherd dog, Mia, into the river and we all had fun tossing her frisbee into the river rapids so she could retrieve it. Funny thing is that she got smart and learned to go down river when we threw it up river...and she would just wait for the river to bring her frisbee to her! hehehe
