My family told me that I should post some of my artwork to share with family and friends. Not many people know that I enjoy creating art, especially drawing, painting, paper and fabric art. I enjoy doing sketches of nature and objects around me that catch my eye. I like to experiment with chalk, pencil, ink, watercolor and photography.
Here is one piece that I created a few weeks ago. This is the view I see each day from my living room window of the Sandia Mountains. While I was away from New Mexico for 7 years, I often thought of my precious Sandia mountains. They are a spiritual source of strength for me, just as they are for the people of Sandia Indian Pueblo, who consider these mountains sacred.
