Went out letterboxing for another hidden box at the ABQ Sunport yesterday. It was the first box hidden by our friends, "6Jumping Beans" in our homeschool co-op group.
They created a cute stamp, but there was an addition to their box, "A Hitchhiker", which is basically just a Traveling Letterbox. It had just arrived a few days earlier, as per it's traveling log book, from Arizona.
We took it home with us to re-plant in a future letterbox we find. That was kind of a fun surprise!
During the hike we enjoyed watching the planes take off and land, as well as watching and listening to a train below us in the distance, and some awesome views of the city.
During the short hike, Jax and Jem discovered an abandoned mattress and used it as a make-shift trampoline! (Click on the picture to enlarge it)
Notice the volcanoes to the left (West) in the picture, and the downtown portion of Albuquerque to the right(East).....And my kids, Jem, Jen and Jax, in the middle! (Click on the picture to make it bigger)
