We started off in the 'Casablanca' plaza at the colorful Visitors Center.

John thought this skyline view was beautiful as the sun was setting behind the Tucson mountains. I agree. (Click photo for a better view)

I'm crossing the Congress St. Pedestrian Bridge.

A beautiful fountain that this kids discovered was fun to climb on. (Probably not allowed during the day, but noone was around this evening, so we had some free-spirited fun!)

John discovered this peaceful, relaxing little 'river' in a side alley. It went the entire length of the alleyway and ended in a pretty fountain. John named the 'river' the 'foot bath', so of course we all had to try it out! On a hot day, walking on hot concrete, the water was especially refreshing!

Some of the striking tall downtown buildings.

John especially enjoyed the war memorial monuments and exhibits.(click for larger view)Battle of the Bulge.
