Inspection complete! Mountain living, here we come!

We had the house inspection (for the second house) on Monday. Everything went well, better than expected actually. Only 2 small repairs needed, and they are going to replace the water heater for us, since it is not young enough to have a warranty. Yay!
We met the very nice homeowners/sellers and learned more great stuff about the neighborhood and area, too. We took a few pics and did some measurements and then left for Jackson's Homeschool Band Practice.

So, the inspection is complete and the closing is set for September 20th! So exciting!
Oh, and an update about the first house we had placed an offer on (remember the hell-house with tons of problems?). After writing an informative and strong letter to the previous home's sellers and real estate agent, asking when they were planning on returning our $3,000 Earnest Deposit money, after they had kept is more than 8 days, they finally agreed to return our money. (Lest we report them to the County Inspection and Permit Department and turn in their real estate agent to the Board of Realtors)
It's a sad shame it had to come to that, because we were all heartbroken that we couldn't buy that home on Dolk Rd. But the homeowner had turned that house into a money pit, a safety danger, and a huge headache. If only he had followed the County's Permit and Inspection laws and done it right the first time, then he'd be free of that house so they could start new.

But, at least now we can finally move on and forward. Whew!

Here are some pics I took on Monday during inspection.

The front/side of our new house, looking down the driveway from the court. (Notice the SOLD sign! Whooohoo!)
A view from the court to the side and backyard/pasture/stables.
