Well, with the help of our church family, some friends, and John's UNM Lacrosse team, we got moved into our East Mountain home on Sunday! We are so thrilled to be living in such a beautiful place. Hard to believe that it has finally happened. God has blessed us so much and answered our prayers.
The kids and I spent all day on Monday unpacking and just exploring our new home.
I took a few pics of our fun day:
Jenna is the first family member to enjoy a jacuzzi bath (in the afternoon, too!). She spent about an hour in there playing, too! Here you can see the gorgeous view of South Mountain through the bathroom window!(Click on the pic for a larger view)
Later we took a walk up to the barn and fed the fish in our stock tank behind the barn. The previous homeowners left us a bottle of fish food to feed the fish, too.
Some of our fish are Koi size, between 4-7" long! Most are all orange and a few are a very pretty orange and white blend and a couple white ones, too!
We counted at least 8 fish in here!
The fish winter in this stock tank. We plan on building them a nice roomy fish pond in the future, though.
While in the barn, we discovered a friendly, tame lizard. It allowed us to pick him up, pet him and carry him around.
Now, how about that! A Pet Barn Lizard!
Jenna enjoyed holding him, too.
The previous owners left us the rack of a Pronghorn Antelope in our tack room. Cool!
Jackson and Jenna hanging out in one of the animal/horse runs.
Jackson & Jeremiah put up a rope swing in one of the trees on our property. Jackson's goal is to climb every one of our trees!
Jenna and Jackson playing in the horse trailer.
Jenna pretending to be a horse. Whinny!
We like to visit our neighbor's 3 horses in the field next to ours. I especially enjoy watching the beautiful horses from my kitchen and living room windows. Jenna has a great view of the horses from her bedroom ,too. OUr neighbors are very nice and their horses are 'talkative' and friendly. This one loves her butt scratched! heehee
Later on while unpacking, Jenna discovered the plastic animal and letter shaped cookie cutters I had packed away. She loves to organize things, and here she is hard at work.
After our busy day, Jenna (and her kitty, Javalina) passed out on the chair.
A basket of Granny Smith apples from one of our apple trees. We have tons of ripe, sweet, crisp fruit!
