Doug and Heidi welcomed us to their farm and encouraged us to graze while picking their raspberries. We happily obliged! hehe
There were about 30 of us homeschoolers picking through the rows, chatting and laughing with each other on a beautiful, sunny New Mexico day. The kids and I ended up picking 6 baskets overflowing with beautiful raspberries and probably ate at least 2 more baskets worth! Yummy!
Afterwards our group ate the best pizza buffet lunch at Village Pizza, sitting together laughing and talking. And then some of us headed over to Corrales Park and Library to play. I borrowed a few books and then we met up with several 'regulars' outside from the weekly Wed. park day and had a really nice time visiting and running around together under the huge Cottonwood trees.
Checking in and getting our baskets. Our buddy, Alexis and her younger son, Asher walking towrds us. (Click on any of the following photos for a larger, better view)

Starting towards the raspberry rows.

Jenna at first was concerned with all the leaves and what might be hiding under them. But after a few bites of ripe sweet raspberries, she overcame her fears.

More berries for her basket.

Jeremiah probably ate a basket's worth of rasberries on his own! He kept saying, "This is so much fun!"

And some more berries for Jenna's basket....er...second basket.

Jackson and his buddy, Henry. They were inseparable at the farm, Village Pizza and the park.

Looking down the field towards our homeschool friends.

Jenna's first full basket.

Doug's sweet dog, Molly was an instant hit with Jenna who had a ball playing fetch with her.

The Raspberry Trio!

Berry Buddies!

Doug & Heidi, the owners and managers of the farm.

Our scrumptiously sweet and juicy raspberries!

Some of the kids hanging out. Munching Hawaiian and Green Chile pizza! Too yummy!!!
