The other day I took Jax and Jem ice skating with one of our homeschool groups. It was their second time skating, but their first time at this particular rink, located in NE Albuquerque. The Outpost was recently remodeled and now includes two ice rinks connected by two long tunnels. They host many events for local and US Hockey Teams and Figure Skating.
It's a very exciting and fun ice skating location to play on and the boys had a blast. I got lots of exercise walking up and down and back and forth to watch and take pictures of the boys and their friends as they skated from rink to rink and through the tunnels. (Click any photo for a larger view)

Our friend Carol w/ daughter Eryn. It was Eryn's first time skating and she was thrilled! But Jenna was so upset when she saw these pictures because Eryn is her friend and she wished she had gone skating afterall.
Eryn on the ice for the very first time!
Go Eryn! In the beginning she kept falling but she didn't give up, and by the time skating was over, she was getting really good at ice skating! The Outpost has these really helpful 'walker' things for the young ones to learn to skate with. There were many little ones racing around on skates all on their own using these walkers.
Some cool looking Hockey Team placards.
