Lori and her sister, Lisa drove out with all the kids from California this week for a visit here in New Mexico. They drove up to Chimayo for their annual pilgrimage and then we got everyone together for dinner at AppleBees. We all had such a great time catching up and chatting over dinner.
Jenna was so funny. She is normally a light eater, taking a few bites of something, and then she's done. Tonight, she almost devoured all of the chips and salsa, even while Amanda was telling her to save some room for her chicken strips. But when the chicken strips arrived, she munched them all up, and then asked to share some of my chicken and beef fajitas! Ha Ha! She had one round Buddah Belly by the end of the evening. But she was so happy, and that made me very happy, too.
I just wished we all lived closer because it's so wonderful sharing laughter and time together. Lori talked us into planning a visit to California very soon, so we can get the kids together again and do some exploring. The boys can't wait to visit Lego Land, though!
