The campground has a very cool bridge to cross if you want to explore the other side of the canyon and hike up the side on the trails to the top. As soon as we arrived in the campground, we decided to explore around the river. Of course, if there is water around, the boys are in it! They didn't believe me at first that this river is usually never more than a few inches deep. When John and I visited here years ago, we could set our chairs in the river just to soak our feet. This time, people were floating downstream in rafts and inner tubes! New Mexico has had so much rain this monsoon season, that all of the rivers are swollen and everything is very green and lush.
