Our Cat Oreo

This is our great cat, Oreo. He is such a terrific family cat and loves to be wherever we all are. He is very fond of Jenna and allows her to 'lock him up' in her room, so she can read and sing to him, and just hang out. She is very gentle with Oreo and he seems to know that she will never hurt him.

Oreo is also very attached to Jeremiah. Oreo lays near him while Jeremiah is reading or playing. Oreo also takes naps in Jeremiah's top bunk and he never nips at Jeremiah.

Jackson loves Oreo, too and is very physical with him. Oreo seems to like it to an extent and likes to whoop it up chasing Jackson around the house. But when Oreos' had enough, Jackson ends up bearing the scratches of Oreo's warnings. But they are still close buddies.

Oreo always sleeps with me at night, at the foot of our bed. Oreo has a peculiar habit of rolling, licking, rubbing and 'hugging' John's and my own shoes right after we take them off. I like to say that Oreo has a shoe fetish. haha!

We've had Oreo for about 3 1/2 years and we brought him home as a kitten from a family that was allergic. From the photos they sent he reminded me so much of our deceased cat, Bugsy, so I knew we had to adopt him. We had missed having a cat in the family for so long.

Oreo is a very much loved member of our family.
