Christmas Day Moments

Christmas began with a magical visit by Santa at 1am when we all heard his Christmas bells jingling as he delivered presents for our kidlets. Jeremiah hopped out of bed to check the cookie and milk plate and cup to find that Santa had enjoyed a few nibbles from the goodies we left for him to enjoy.

We all ooohed at the presents and then we went back to bed to sleep a fitful rest of the night until the sun peeked it's bright head over the top of the Sandia Mountains.

There was were many exciting moments and some of trepidation. Jenna wasn't quite sure what to think of all the noise and activity in the morning. We don't normally have such chaos in the morning until Mama has had at least 2 cups of tea and wakes up enough to deal with the day! hehe

So, Jenna sat safely on my lap for much of the morning, until her brothers had finished most of their unwrapping squealings of joy, then she started carefully ripping open her gifts, until she got to the package with the My Little Ponies Surf Shop! She played with this all day, with only a few breaks to explore other toys and art projects.

Jackson and Jeremiah were completely focused on building their new Legos' sets and playing Chess and Monopoly with their new games. They also received this really neat Virtual Paintball game where 2 players attach Paintball vests and then chase each other around with blasters until their special vests are covered with virtual splatters. No paint and no mess. Cool!

The boys really wanted RC cars, but it was out of our budget this year, but the Santa Ana Golf Club folks gifted Jax and Jem with two fascinating RC HoverCraft that actually lift up and fly 100 feet while spinning like UFOs! Fun stuff! Here's a few pics of some of our special Christmas moments.

Jackson and John playing chess with Jackson's new Pirates of the Caribbean set. They played for almost 2 hours! Davie Jones is pretty creepy!
Jackson building his Airport Lego set...many many pieces! You can also see Jeremiah's Legos' Viking Chess set here.
John had fun playing with all the kids' toys, especially the Rail-Runners: wire ramps with a magnetic spinning 'yo-yo-like' thing that glows in the dark.
Some of the cool Science kits that Aunt Aeri and Uncle Skip sent for Jax and Jem.
Jax and Jem with some more Lego sets that Fufu and PopPop sent.
Jenna's My Little Ponies.
Jenna played with the Surf Shop and ponies for hours.
Jenna took a couple art breaks to paint with her new paints.
Jenna and I both received some wonderful art sets from those generous folks over at the Santa Ana Golf Club. Jenna loves her art stuff, and I've been wanting a beautiful full art set like this one for years, but could never justify spending that kind of money on myself for what some would call a hobby. This amazing art box contains paint tubes of acrylics, watercolors and oils, and lots of pastels, colored pencils, markers and more. I love it and can't wait to explore more of my creative pursuits!
Jenna playing with the Little Mermaid CD player that Aunt Lori and Uncle Ron sent.
And here's Jenna playing and pretending with her My Little Ponies all the way until bedtime.
Santa brought Jenna a stuffed kitty that looks a bit like our kitty. Jenna had fallen in love with our friends'
daughter's stuffed cat 2 months ago, so she was thrilled to finally have her very own little kitty. She kept kissing, hugging and cuddling this kitty all day long. Too sweet!

Jenna loves music, so this Little Mermaid piano that was sent by Fufu and PopPop was a big hit. Ariel even flaps her tail in time with the music and Flounder and Sebastion dance, too.
