We had left Rio Rancho at 11:30am, after getting a late start, but we made amazingly fast time, the roads were uncrowded and wide-open, and with my van's cruise control, I relaxed and enjoyed the drive out to Arizona.
We stopped off at the Lordsburg, NM Visitor Center before leaving NM, so we could hunt for and find a letterbox. The stamp was made by a very talented stamp carver "AZRoadie" and showcased the NM Yucca, which grow profusely right around the NM/AZ southern border.
Not too long after that,we stopped off in Dragoon, AZ to try to "Unlock The Mystery of The Thing!" and we discovered another very cool letterbox located at this funky little roadside attraction.
