AZ~"Everything from A to Z!"

On our way to this little town (pop. 5,000) in southeastern AZ,Jax said to me, "Hey Mom! I've got a better theme for Arizona than the "Grand Canyon State", How about,"Arizona, Everything from A-Z!" And I must agree, Jax's idea really makes sense, too!

Here's a view from the front yard, looking East, from the house where we are staying to house and pet sit for the next 2 weeks. At night, we can watch the trail of sparkly white lights on I-10,and we can hear the romantic dreamy sounds of the trains. We are looking forward to seeing the herd of javelinas and the Gila monster that lives on this property, too. We're already enjoy the huge jack rabbits and flocks of quail, and the howling coyotes. There is so much wonderful southwestern nature here along with the wide open spaces, mesquite and chamisa trees, the views to forever, and the cooling winds(at least during this time of year in this high desert area).

Two of the cats we'll be caring for while the family we are house and pet sitting travels. The one on the left is the other cat's baby. His name is Grover and the Mama's name is Princess. They are very sweet and playful and remind usof our cat at home,Oreo, when he was a kitten.

Jenna sitting in a very unique and comfy swing that our friends bought at Ikea. Our friends are Dutch and besides speaking the language, traveling to Holland almost every year, and watching almost all Dutch Satellite TV, they are also in love with Ikea and visit the location near Phoenix as often as possible. Their home even feels like Ikea and is light, bright, uncluttered and cheerful.

Jackson and Jeremiah have been enjoying the best time hanging out, playing video games, and exploring the local landscape with our friend's two children, Ingo and Bibiana. Here they were climbing some of the tall hills and looking for crystals.
